Data Deletion

Last updated: March 16, 2026

Strand stores all your data locally on your device and in your personal iCloud account. We do not maintain a server-side database of user data. Here's how to delete your data completely.

Option 1: Disconnect a single account

To remove data for one social media account while keeping the app:

  1. Open Strand
  2. Go to the Accounts tab
  3. Tap the account you want to remove
  4. Tap Disconnect

This immediately deletes all analytics data, metrics, and history associated with that account from your device and iCloud.

Option 2: Delete all app data

To remove all Strand data from your device:

  1. Delete the Strand app from your device
  2. To also remove iCloud data: go to Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud → Manage Storage → Strand → Delete Data

Option 3: Revoke Meta API access

To prevent Strand from accessing your Instagram or Threads data through Meta's APIs:

  1. Go to Meta Business Integrations settings
  2. Find Strand in the list of active integrations
  3. Click Remove

This immediately revokes Strand's ability to access your data through Meta's APIs. Your existing local data in the app will remain until you disconnect the account or delete the app.

What data does Strand hold on its servers? None. Our authentication server processes OAuth token exchanges as a stateless proxy — it does not store tokens, user data, or analytics. There is no server-side data to delete.
